myTXT offers developers various ways of interfacing with the system, as briefly discussed in the following sections. Please use the "Contact" section should you require more information.

FTP Connection

The FTP Connection feature of myTXT is able to send virtually any FTP log as an SMS.

If a client’s company logs data in the form of CDR or CSV records to a server that hosts an FTP server, the myTXT system can fetch the files on the remote server and convert the log to an SMS, provided that one of the columns contain the mobile number of the recipient.

This feature enables integrating myTXT to existing systems and infrastructures, without the client having to perform any changes to their current systems.

XML integration

The myTXT system is capable of learning any XML structure.

If an existing system is integrated with a different SMS system by means of an XML HTTP/POST protocol, that system can start using myTXT without having to change the format of the XML API implemented in an existing system. Teaching the myTXT system a new XML format is done by copying an XML sample into the XML integration setup, screen and map the paths of the XML packet to the appropriate fields.

The system will then create a URL and will decode all XML packets sent to that URL according to the new configuration. No development changes are needed on the existing system to integrate with myTXT.

SMS API

myTXT has a fully featured API that developers can use to develop their own SMS client applications.

The API allows for:

  • Sending single SMS messages
  • Sending bulk SMS messages
  • Checking available SMS balance
  • Receiving Delivery Reports
  • Scheduling SMS messages
  • Deleting scheduled messages
  • Receiving system notification messages
  • Marking messages as read
